Yup I had fun this Wednesday. I got lost twice, but now I know the route. Too bad I'll be out of town for next Wednesday..so I see you guys next next Wednesday.
I'll be at the crit tomorrow, need to get my starts to get out of the cat 5s. But why would we change to night to Thursday? I know there's a dump loop ride at the same time as ours, but our ride is better because we're there.
... if I start doing the 'You Look Pregnant' ride, it could be conceivably insulting. Since I'm a girl and all and definitely not preggers. I will accept compliments only on my belly. ;)
Jen, you still should do the ride we haven't had a girl ever do it before (unless you did it last year some time?). And, if you attend the ride I'll be more than happy to change the thread title. But for the moment I'm gonna let it stick, mostly because I can't think of a better title right now anyway.
Last night was strange; the only other (semi)regular rider who showed up was Mike, the other four guys were all first-timers (this Spring, anyway). I take that back, Justin was coming down 13th when I was going up it and turned around to join the ride mid-way; so he sort of showed up.
Bit of a delayed post, but, this last Wednesday was pretty fast, Justin set the record for the season so far at 25:56. Hopefully this shitty weather goes away in a hurry cause, ugh.
I meant to only take a short nap after work up until 7ish, ended up sleeping until ~1... oops. I'm not gonna be there next week either, driving to Portland for the Mt. Hood Classic next Wednesday.
You can be sure I'll do it. I have some winter/college sloth to shake off and some repairs to make on my two-wheeled girl machine, but I'll grind it out for better or worse. Maybe I can head up a secondary group. We'll call ourselves Team Average and stumble into Harry's twenty minutes after you crazies finish. ;) Harry's or, on occasion, the emergency room for saline drips and oxygen. Not the same as IPA and fried food, but close on the scale of valuable post-ride medications.
