Every Wednesday we meet at C.W. Moore park at 6:30pm, where we "race" to hill road, 36th st, cartwright rd. and end at the Hyde Park Pub. We usually grab a bite to eat there too. All ages are welcome and it's a pretty fun atmosphere, albeit with a really fast pace.

You should expect to be yelled at by cars and it feels like a messenger race every week.

More info and map (PRINT OUT BEFORE RIDE): http://stingers702.blogspot.com/2009/04/wednesday-nighter.html

Record time is currently Cody Caldera at 25 minutes flat. Trust me that's f'ing fast!

Recommended gear inches is 65 to 75, Cody was on 68 I think, but I like 71 better. http://www.sheldonbrown.com/gears/

This last ride was pretty excellent, though maybe someday I'll actually manage to not get dropped before we even make it to the actual hills... someday.

Really bummed that class will prevent me from keep showing up at these, next week is my last Wednesday nighter for a while (until august), if I'm not very much mistaken.

This Wednesday there may not be a ride, or it will just be late.
Show up for the bike safety PSA at the depot instead.
    details at: http://www.boiseweekly.com/boise/Event?oid=1078154

If we all show up for the PSA and it doesn't take too long we can start the ride from depot.

Yeah, that's my plan. I'm on a new diet. Ride everyday until I'm not fat.

Clearly didn't get out soon enough, so I just did it solo a little bit ago. Managed ~29 minutes give or take 30 secs. Riding that thing without a 15lb bag feels nice.
When are one of you fools gonna set a new record for us?

I did it late as well - started around 6:55, but didn't see anyone at the finish. So, naturally, I cried a little bit and then went home.

Last night was interesting... I do like that some of the first usage buttars' phone is getting is looking at porn and fatties.

I'm just glad I was coherent for my test this morning, though I can't say getting sloshed on the night before a final was my most brilliant plan for great success.

That was a pretty damn fast ride last night, again. Maybe next week we should actually work together getting out hill road so we (I) am not destroyed by the time the hill starts.

Also, you should try and come out this coming week, dilonious. More riders can't hurt.

Here's the PT file ( I manually added cadence )

It's a csv file compatible with most cycling software, but you can view it with a text viewer too.

Note that the time says something like 25:38 which is slightly fast because I had to wait at a couple traffic lights and the internal timer stops during that period. The real time was 25:50.

looks like I held a steady 12mph avg on the hard part of the climb. Better than I had estimated.

Some screen caps from cycling peaks (font looks like shit cause I run it under wine in linux)
