So last week a few of us hauled ass to Eagle and ate some dinner at smokey mtn pizza. I think we should do something similar this Sunday. Some sort of multi-hour ride fest where we eat dinner outside of town or on the outskirts of town, then race back to our prospective homes.

How does 5pm at Dawson Taylor work for folks?

Agreed. I think 25+ miles should be the norm. Let's stretch some muthas out! Also a great time to pick up group riding techniques and etiquette.

Sorry to point out the obvious, but if you partake in this ride please bring plenty of water with you.

For a bit there when we were getting close to Star I was worried the rain was really gonna start dropping (like it did on me, when I was heading to the VAC from our stop last night) but the sky had mercy upon us. Except for me flatting before we even got out of town, it was a pretty good ride.

Hey, I'll be at Dawson at 5pm for a ride. Probably not going to Nampa unless other folks really want to do a big ride. Looking for about 90 minutes of riding with some food and drink in there somewhere.

Agreein that tonight was an excellent ride, lots of fun. A good amount of ridiculous crap happened as well, not that that is a bad thing.

I'm going to try to be there on time but I've gotta drop my brother off at the airport around 5, so I may be a bit late, though hopefully not so late that you take off without me.

Yea, I didn't get back to my house from dealing with my brother until about then, and figured there was no way anybody would stick around until 6. Oh well.

Re: seeing my bike. Not guilty. Was at a house party most of the evening. Lots of booze, fire dancing, and bloto was telling off random strangers while referring to himself in the 3rd person. E.P.I.C.

Oh shit, you did a dump loop on fixed? Nice work. Did you use your brake coming down motorcycle hill?

I did do a dump loop on fixed.
I'm not sure 'using' the brake is accurate, seeing as it's a rear brake. I tried it out, nearly useless, more like an assist for high speed skidding. But using the break with skidding at those speeds was a bit sketchier than just skidding, but did help getting out short skids at high speed. I didn't realize I could check skid at 25-30 Mph until today. I don't think I'll do that again until I have a front brake. The bottom of that hill was kind of scary. I did it in a decent time though; Left Hammer at ~5:38, got back around to Bogus Basin Rd and Hill Rd intersection at ~7:00.
I was snaking up the end of the tit and up the short hill before the motorcycle hill drop.
And I now have some nice skid marks on my new tires from skidding down the asphalt at speed.
    I can't say I recommend it.

I wouldn't say I was telling the guy off so much as the guy couldn't take a joke. At least that is how I remember it (remember used somewhat loosely there). There was just the one douchebag, not dbag, I hope? Speaking of, damn dbag for getting the 3rd person stuff going, oh god. I'm not drinking for a while after that night, I think.

Nice job on the dump loop buttars, but why would you put the rear brake on but not the front?

I recently replaced the fork with a fork that is not drilled for a break. The bike previously had both brakes on it. I just left the rear on, but had to remove the front.
